nCask No. 3409 captivated Ardbeg’s Master Distillers Dr Bill Lumsden as it lay in the cool depths of Warehouse 3, right beside the Atlantic. Surging with sweetness, tar and peat, this single cask is everything an Ardbeg should be and more.

nThe whisky’s smoky spirit was distilled on Monday 18th September 2000, under the watchful gaze of Stuart Thomson, then Ardbeg’s expert Distillery Manager. Then, with a profoundly classic Ardbeg in mind, Dr Bill chose a small parcel of that spirit to be aged in a single first-fill bourbon cask.

nHand-selected with utmost care, the cask’s American oak promised to bring the whisky its fullest wood notes during a lengthy maturation. Aged in its depths for more than 21 years, the single malt gained all the intensity for which Ardbeg is adored.

nNow in its prime, showcasing powerful aromas of treacle toffee and soot, Cask No. 3431 is absolutely, unequivocally, Ardbeg.

Returns and Refunds
